This class is comprehensive, challenging and motivational. It covers all aspects of the commercial audition process including:

• Slates/profiles
• Personality interviews
• Non-verbal reaction moments and the use of imagery
• Monologues and multi-person copy
• How to best use cue cards
• Improvisation
• Preparation and scene study
• Making choices
• Taking advantage of multiple takes
• Handling product
• An overview of the casting and production process
• Recent changes in the market
• All scripts are sourced from Ads that I’ve worked on from inception to booking

BILINGUAL 4 WEEK ON CAMERA COMMERCIAL INTENSIVE

This is an exciting opportunity for Latino/Hispanic actors who want to take advantage of the exploding market in Spanish language commercials.

The class includes all the same elements as the above intensive but in this case all scripts used will be performed in Spanish and English.

4 WEEK SCENE STUDY

Actors will bring in prepared scenes and monologues of their choice for performance, evaluation, and direction in an environment that is energetic, exacting, and exciting. Together we will focus on breaking down the scene, discovering the truth, and making inspired choices.

The scenes/monologues are then “work-shopped” so that the actor begins to approach the material like a writer, fully inhabiting characters, and improvising his/her way through the scene instantaneously and truthfully until it’s fine-tuned and polished.

All scenes/monologues will be presented on-camera and the class will review and constructively critique each student’s performance as it advances and improves.

The adjustments and exercises are designed to challenge and free the actor and give him or her the essential tools needed to dig deep, explore and execute the scene to it’s fullest potential.
